Optimizing safari quality through hunting excellence and ecologically sensitive approach!

Hunting Areas
Our hunting area includes two very diverse areas in the Matabeleland North region. This helps a lot during safaris, as the movement patterns of animal herds quite often vary between the two regions at the same time, optimizing our opportunity for success. Each area offers a different hunting experience and feel. Each area has its own hunting camps.
In Zimbabwe our main focus is more on the hunting of flagship species like elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, hippo, croc, sable and spotted hyena.
We have scaled down substantially in our total hunting area and we are happy to say that we have consolidated top quality areas with good populations of elephant, buffalo, sable and others. From here we can offer top qulity hunts to our hunting clients.
We have therefore taken hands with 3 hunting outfits in South Africa where we can offer a wide spectrum of plains game and certain dangerous game on separate safaris or as an add on hunt. Please enquiry if you have interest in this option.
DETE / GWAYI

The Dete / Gwayi region is situated closer to Hwange Main Camp for reference. It is predominantly Teak Woodland which is lovely to hunt and normally carries very good buffalo-, elephant- and sable populations that feed in from Hwange National Park ( HNP).
During Covid there was a lot of poaching, which has been curbed dramatically by anti-poaching from Zim Parks and private initiatives. The populations moved back into HNP to escape the poaching.
But with much heavier penalties and jail sentences, poaching has reduced dramatically, and the populations are now coming back into this beautiful area.
We consolidated a total hunting area which has no community inhabitation for circa 45.000 hectares, which can basically be seen as an extension of HNP in character. In especially the hunting blocks direct adjacent to HNP the buffalo herds, elephant herds and sable herds are back.
The Gwayi River runs through our area, and this is a really exceptional area for leopard. Very good buffalo and elephant can be hunted here. Following the buffalo herds are the lions, which is in normal abundance, especially in the blocks next to HNP.
We are already having good success in bringing the herds back, and the clients hunting here can enjoy good and successful hunts.
A hunting block of exceptional beauty is Camp Selous, and area of circa 14.000 hectares.
This area is more sandy and is relatively flat terrain, which keeps elephants longer after rain Elephants in the Matetsi move out when the first rains start, to get away from sliding in the muddy clays. In the Dete Gwayi area, the elephants tend to stay longer in our areas after the rains have started.
MATETSI

Our north western region is known as Matetsi.
It is situated to the west of Hwange town, and includes the area around Vic Falls, then also towards Robins Camp which is the northern-most camp of HNP.
Matetis is predominantly Mopani Woodlands with thickets of jesse. The topography is more hilly and it requires a higher level of fitness. It has clayey soils and when it rains elephants tend to move out of the area as they don’t like sliding on the slippery substrate. It is excellent for bigger trophy quality elephant, buffalo, leopard, hippo, croc and a spectrum of plains game.
We hunt here an area of circa 360.000 hectares. Our area includes private land, known as the ECA, communal areas and then we are very happy to say that we hunt three of the Matetsi Units.
In the Matetsi Units clients can expect to hunt really very good trophies, and the populations of elephat, buffalo, sable are good and in abundance.
We can really recommend hunting in the Matetsi Units, especially Matetsi Unit 6, which is generally known as the best hunting area in Zimbabwe..
